Early Life and Start in Football
Bruno N'Gotty was born in Lyon, a city in France. This is where he began his football journey.
Playing for Lyon
Bruno started his career with Olympique Lyonnais, also known as Lyon, in the 1988–89 season. He stayed with them until the end of the 1994–95 season. During his time at Lyon, he played in 237 league games and scored 13 goals.
Winning with Paris Saint-Germain
After Lyon, Bruno joined Paris Saint-Germain. He scored the winning goal in the 1996 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup Final against Rapid Wien. This goal helped Paris Saint-Germain win their only trophy in that competition. The next year, he was part of the team that reached the final again, but they lost to Barcelona.
Time at A.C. Milan
In 1999, N'Gotty was part of the A.C. Milan team that won the Serie A title, which is the top football league in Italy. He played in 25 league games for the club. He even played alongside famous players like Paolo Maldini. For a short period in 1999, he was loaned to Venezia, where he played 16 matches.
Returning to France with Marseille
After his time in Italy, Bruno went back to France to play for Marseille. This was a shorter stay, lasting only one season. He played in 32 games during that year.
Joining Bolton Wanderers
N'Gotty first joined Bolton Wanderers on a loan deal. He made his first appearance for Bolton on 19 September 2001, in a 1–1 draw against Blackburn Rovers. He scored his first goal for the club seven months later.
In January 2002, his move to Bolton became permanent. After a tough start, he became a regular player and was even voted the fans' player of the year for the 2005 season. Bruno had hoped to finish his career at Bolton, but the manager wanted to bring in younger players, so he left in May 2006.
Playing for Birmingham City
On 6 July 2006, N'Gotty signed a one-year deal with Birmingham City. That season, his team was promoted to the Premier League, which is the highest football league in England. He scored two goals for Birmingham before deciding not to stay for another year.
Moving to Leicester City
On 4 June 2007, N'Gotty joined Leicester City on a free transfer, signing a two-year contract. He played his 500th professional game on 12 January 2008, in a match where Leicester won 2–0. He played 38 league games as Leicester was relegated from the EFL Championship.
Later, in September 2008, N'Gotty was loaned to Hereford United for a month. However, his loan was cut short because he suffered a serious injury. In May 2009, he was released from his contract with Leicester.
In January 2011, Bruno N'Gotty briefly returned to football, joining a French team called l'AS Lattes, which played in the 6th tier of French football.

While those players became national team regulars, N'Gotty only played five more matches until 1997 and was never called up for a major tournament.
