Bryan Patrick Bracey (born August 5, 1978) is a former professional basketball player. He is American and also has Irish citizenship. Bryan played college basketball for several teams. Later, he was drafted into the NBA.

Early Life and College Basketball
Bryan Bracey was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1978. He finished high school at Oak Park High School in 1996. After high school, Bryan started his college basketball journey.
Playing for Wisconsin–Platteville
His first year was at the University of Wisconsin–Platteville. He played in one game for the team.
Time at Malcolm X College
Next, Bryan attended Malcolm X College in Chicago. This helped him prepare for a bigger university.
Success at the University of Oregon
In 1999, Bryan transferred to the University of Oregon. He became a star player for the Oregon Ducks. In 2001, he was one of the best players in the Pac-10 conference. He scored 18.6 points per game, which was second-highest in the league. He also led his team with 7.1 rebounds per game. Because of his great performance, he was chosen for the All-Pac-10 first team. In January 2001, he was named Pac-10 Conference Player of the Week. This was after he averaged 25.5 points and 9 rebounds in two games.
Professional Basketball Career
After college, Bryan Bracey hoped to play in the NBA.
NBA Draft and Early Career
In the 2001 NBA draft, the San Antonio Spurs picked Bryan. He was the 58th and final player chosen in the draft. However, Bryan never played a game for the Spurs or any other NBA team. He was one of eight players from his draft class who did not play in the league.
Bryan began his professional career with the Fayetteville Patriots. This team was part of the NBA Development League. He only played one game with them.
Playing Overseas
Bryan then moved to Israel to play for Bnei Herzliya. He joined them in November 2001. He helped the team improve after a tough start to the season. Bryan left Israel in April 2002 during a time of conflict in the region.
He later played for the Italian team Air Avellino. He played 10 games with them before leaving in November 2002. After that, he played for Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel until the summer of 2003.
Bryan Bracey continued his career playing for many teams around the world. He played in Spain for Murcia. He also played in Greece for teams like Peristeri and Makedonikos. His career took him to Russia, Puerto Rico, France, Belgium, and Cyprus. He played for teams such as Dynamo Moscow Region, Criollos de Caguas, Élan Chalon, Dexia Mons-Hainaut, and Proteas EKA AEL.
He played his last professional games with the Chicago Steam from 2013 to 2015. Bryan Bracey had a long career playing basketball in many different countries.
