Buchanan is a small village in Westchester County, New York. It is part of the larger town of Cortlandt. In 2020, about 2,302 people lived there.
Buchanan is known for a few interesting things. The Indian Point nuclear power plant used to be located here. It is now closed down. Also, the huge Christmas tree for Rockefeller Center in New York City in 2000 came from Buchanan! It was an 80-foot tall Norway spruce.
