How Buena Vista Started

Later, the community changed its name to Buena Vista. People believe the new name came from a place called Buena Vista in Virginia.
The Old Post Office
A post office opened in Moons in 1833. It served the community for many years. The post office stayed open until 1907. After that, mail for Buena Vista was handled by other nearby post offices.
