The Bull-Jackson House, also known as Hill-Hold Museum, is a historic home in Hamptonburgh, New York. It is located on NY 416 in Orange County. This important building has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since May 17, 1974.
Discovering the Bull-Jackson House History
The Bull-Jackson House is a stone building. It was built in 1769 by an early settler named Thomas Bull. He was also the person who gave his name to the largest park in Orange County. That park is right across the road from the house.
The Bull family lived in the house for many years. In the late 1960s, Orange County took over the house. Today, it is a museum. It shows what life was like long ago in the area.
