About Bull Lake

Bull Lake is a freshwater lake. It plays a small but important part in the local environment. The lake is surrounded by forests, typical of the Ontario landscape.

Location and Size

Bull Lake is found in the large Thunder Bay District in Ontario. It lies about 14.3 kilometres (8.9 mi) northwest of a community called Schreiber.

The lake is not huge, but it's a good size for exploring. It measures about 1,100 metres (3,609 ft) (which is 1.1 kilometers or about 0.7 miles) long. Its width is around 160 metres (525 ft) (0.16 kilometers or about 0.1 miles). Bull Lake sits at an elevation of 397 metres (1,302 ft) above sea level.

Water Flow

Water flows into and out of Bull Lake. The main way water leaves the lake is through an unnamed creek. This creek eventually flows into the Whitesand River. The Whitesand River is a larger waterway. Bull Lake's outflow is located between two other lakes: Hornblende Lake (upstream) and Lyne Lake (downstream) along the Whitesand River system.
