Bumble (TV series) facts for kids
Bumble is a fun New Zealand children's television series. It was made for young kids, usually aged 2 to 7. The show is all about a special, magical bee named Bumble!
The main character, Bumble, is played by Jason Gunn. His wife, Janine Morrell-Gunn, produced the show for TVNZ.
Bumble also has awesome puppet friends. Their names are Peek, Boo, Anna, and Fishy. The show first aired in 1999 and finished in 2002.
Fishy is a Māori character. He is famous for his friendly saying, "Kia Ora Bumble!" This means "Hello Bumble!" in the Māori language.
Recently, Jason Gunn shared some exciting news! On February 15, 2020, he announced that a new Bumble series is coming. WhitebaitMedia and NZ on Air are working together to create it. This new show will be CGI animated and made for pre-school children. We don't know exactly when it will start yet!
