Bunker Hill Township is a small community in Ingham County, Michigan, in the United States. It is a type of local government area called a civil township. In 2020, about 1,966 people lived here.
This township is a countryside area in central Michigan. It has a lot of farms. Some local businesses include small farms, places for camping, and shops run by the Amish community.

History of Bunker Hill Township
Bunker Hill Township was started in 1839 by settlers from Ireland. There are two ideas about how the township got its name. One story says it was named after the father of a founder, Major Johnathan Shearer. His father fought in the famous Battle of Bunker Hill. Another story says it was named after an early settler named Abram Bunker.
The small village of Bunker Hill had its own post office for many years. It was open from 1841 to 1842, and again from 1848 to 1903. There were also several businesses, like a blacksmith shop and a general store. The village had churches, a school, and a town hall.
West of Bunker Hill, there was a small community called Felts or Felt Plains. It had a post office from 1851 to 1975 and a small school. In a nearby place called Fitchburg, there were also some small businesses, a post office, and a school.

Bunker Hill Township has a few small communities within it. These are called unincorporated communities, which means they are not officially separate towns or cities.
- Bunkerhill is a community near the center of the township. You can find it at 42°28′32″N 84°19′03″W / 42.47556°N 84.31750°W.
- Fitchburg is another community in the southeast part of the township. It is located at 42°26′21″N 84°16′40″W / 42.43917°N 84.27778°W. This community was started in 1848.
Geography of Bunker Hill Township
Bunker Hill Township covers about 32.93 square miles (85.29 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with only a small part being water.
A large part of the Dansville State Game Area is located in the northern section of the township. This area is managed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. It's a big space, about 4,800 acres, where people can go hunting and enjoy outdoor activities. It has forests, open fields, and wetlands.
A stream called Batteese Creek flows through the township from north to south. It eventually empties into Batteese Lake, which is located south of Bunker Hill in Henrietta Township.
