Burlington is a small, quiet place located in Fulton County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. It's what's called an unincorporated community. This means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or a village. Instead, it's part of the larger county.
History of Burlington
Burlington was first planned and settled in the year 1839. Imagine, that's almost 200 years ago! For many years, a post office served the people living in Burlington. This post office was actually moved from a nearby place called Elmira around 1850. Even though it moved to Burlington, it kept the name "Elmira Post Office" for a long time. It finally closed its doors in 1957.
