Burna is a small community in Livingston County, Kentucky, United States. It is called a "census-designated place" (CDP) because the U.S. Census Bureau collects information about it.
In 2020, about 219 people lived in Burna. The community is home to North Livingston Elementary School and Livingston County Middle School.
The name "Burna" was chosen through a contest. A young girl named Burna won the contest, and the town was named after her.
Where is Burna Located?
Burna is in the middle part of Livingston County. It is located along U.S. Route 60. This road goes east about 7 miles (11 km) to Salem. It also goes southwest about 8 miles (13 km) to Smithland, which is the main town of the county.
The Burna CDP covers an area of about 1.35 square miles (3.5 square kilometers). Most of this area is land. Only a tiny part, about 0.01 square miles (0.026 square kilometers), is water.
