What's on the Menu?
BurritoVille is famous for its different kinds of burritos and tacos. But that's not all! You can also find fresh salads and crunchy nachos on their menu. If you don't eat meat, you'll be happy to know that many of their food items are vegetarian.
Fun Facts About BurritoVille
The chain's fun slogan is, "We're Mexcellent!" Inside the restaurants, you might see cool old maps of Mexico. They also have posters from classic Mexican horror and romance movies, which gives the places a unique look.
Changes Over the Years
In September 2008, BurritoVille had some money troubles. Because of this, all their Manhattan restaurants closed down. But the location in Westbury, New York, stayed open!
A few months later, in November 2008, a new owner bought BurritoVille. This owner had also been involved with another food chain called Blimpie. They decided to give BurritoVille a fresh new start.
Reopening Locations
The first restaurant to reopen was in the Financial District of New York City in July 2009. This was the start of a plan to open more BurritoVille places in New York and other parts of the country. Another location on 23rd Street in Manhattan also reopened in the fall of 2009.
However, by 2011, their website only showed the 23rd Street restaurant as being open. Later, in 2014, the website listed just one restaurant in Jersey City, New Jersey.
