Burträsk is a small town, also called a locality, located in Skellefteå Municipality in Västerbotten County, Sweden. As of 2019, about 1,606 people live there.
Burträsk is especially famous for one unique thing: it is the only place in the world where the special Västerbotten cheese is made. This makes the town very important for Swedish food culture.
A geological feature called the Burträsk Fault is also named after this village.
