Byron Stingily is an American singer from Chicago, Illinois. He is famous for his unique, high singing voice, called a falsetto. He sings both R&B and House music. Besides being a singer, he also works part-time as a principal at a school in Chicago.

Byron Stingily's Music Career
Byron Stingily became well-known in the 1980s and 1990s. He was the main singer for a music group called Ten City. They had many popular songs.
Solo Success on the Dance Charts
As a solo artist, Byron Stingily had great success on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. He reached the No. 1 spot three times!
- In 1997, his song "Get Up (Everybody)" was No. 1 for a week. This song used a sample from "Dance (Disco Heat)" by Sylvester.
- In 1998, he hit No. 1 again with his version of Sylvester's song "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)".
- "That's the Way Love Is" was a No. 1 dance hit for Ten City in 1989. Byron Stingily recorded his own version of it, and it became No. 1 again in 1999.
Some of his newer songs have been released by a record company in the UK called Defected Records. In 2021, he worked with producer Marshall Jefferson. They released a song called "Be Free" with his group Ten City. This was their first new song together in 25 years.

Byron Stingily's Family Life
Byron Stingily is a father. His daughter, Diamond Stingily, is a visual artist and poet. His son, Byron, was a professional football player. He played as an offensive tackle in the NFL for five years. His son finished his football career with the New York Giants in 2016.
