How Cabeceras Was Formed
Cabeceras became its own district on June 11, 2020. This happened because of a special law called Ley 20965. Before that, it was part of another district named Quebrada Grande. Cabeceras was given about 51.25 square kilometers (about 19.79 square miles) of land.
Today, Cabeceras has many important services for its people. These include schools and a high school for students. There are also health services called EBAIS. The community manages its own clean water services through ASADA. The district also has a cemetery, a soccer field, and local businesses. Farmers work together in a coffee producers cooperative and a milk producers association.
