Cachí is a lovely district located in the Paraíso area. It's part of the Cartago province in Costa Rica. Think of a district as a smaller part of a bigger region.

About Cachí's Location

Cachí is a district that covers about 41 square kilometers. It sits high up, about 1049 meters (or 3,441 feet) above sea level. This means it's quite elevated!

The district is found near the eastern side of Lake Cachí. This lake isn't natural; people created it by building a dam across the Reventazon River. Before the 1970s, the river flowed right past the town. Cachí is also connected to another town called Ujarrás, which is on the other side of the lake.
