Cacocum is a municipality and a town located in the Holguín Province of Cuba. It's a place where many people live and work, just like a county or district in other countries.

Where is Cacocum Located?
Cacocum is found in the eastern part of Cuba. It sits south of the big city of Holguín. If you travel east from the Frank País International Airport, you'll be heading towards Cacocum and then on to the city of Bayamo.
Travel Routes and Nearby Places
The main highway in Cuba, called the Carretera Central, passes right by the town of Cacocum. The central railroad also runs nearby. These routes make it easy to travel to and from Cacocum.
The land around Cacocum is very flat, stretching all the way south to the border of Granma Province. To the west, Cacocum shares a border with Las Tunas Province. To the east, its closest neighbor is the Báguanos municipality.
What Do People Do in Cacocum?
The main way people earn a living in Cacocum is through making sugar. There are two important sugar mills here: one is called Antonio Maceo and the other is Cristino Naranjo. These mills are a big part of the local economy.
