Racing Career
Early Years and Family Influence
Cacá Bueno was born in Rio de Janeiro and began his racing journey in 1988 with karting. By 1992, he was already a champion, winning the São Paulo state championship.
Racing runs in his family. His father, Galvão Bueno, is a very well-known sports announcer in Brazil. He commentated on Formula One races and big soccer games for the Brazilian national team. Because of his dad's job, Cacá grew up around sports legends. He even knew the famous Formula One champion Ayrton Senna, who was his hero.

Success in Stock Car Racing
Even though his idol was a Formula One driver, Cacá loved touring car racing. This type of racing uses cars that look like regular street cars but are built for speed. He joined the Stock Car Brasil series in 2002.
He quickly showed his talent, finishing third in his first year. For the next three years (2003, 2004, and 2005), he was the runner-up, just missing the top spot.
Finally, in 2006, he won his first Stock Car Brasil championship. He proved it wasn't a fluke by winning again in 2007. Cacá went on to win the championship three more times in 2009, 2011, and 2012, making him a five-time champion.
Racing Around the World
Besides his success in Brazil, Cacá has raced in other countries. He competed in the TC2000, a touring car series in Argentina, where he finished third in 2001.
He also made a special appearance in the World Touring Car Championship in 2010. He raced for the Chevrolet team at the Brands Hatch track in the United Kingdom.
Setting a Speed Record
In August 2010, Cacá did something amazing. He took a Chevrolet Vectra race car to the Bonneville Salt Flats in the United States. On the huge, flat salt plains, he drove the car faster than 340 kilometers per hour (about 210 miles per hour)!
Personal Life
- Cacá's brother, Paulo Eduardo Bueno, who is known as Popó Bueno, is also a race car driver.
- When he's not on the track, Cacá is a fan of the Fluminense soccer team.
