Calenzano is a town in Italy, located in the Tuscany region. It's part of the Metropolitan City of Florence, which is like a big county around the famous city of Florence. Calenzano is about 11 kilometers (7 miles) northwest of Florence.
As of 2004, about 15,557 people lived in Calenzano. The town covers an area of about 76.9 square kilometers (29.7 square miles).
Calenzano shares its borders with several other towns. These include Barberino di Mugello, Campi Bisenzio, Prato, San Piero a Sieve, Sesto Fiorentino, Vaglia, and Vaiano.

Historic Villas and Churches
- Villa Ginori a Collina: This is a grand old house that once belonged to important families.
- Church of San Niccolò and Oratorio della Compagnia del Santissimo Sacramento: This church was rebuilt before 1386. Inside, you can see old paintings called frescoes. These were made by famous artists like Jacopo and Nardo di Cione. There is also a special painting by Domenico Cresti.
- Pieve di San Donato: This church is very old, built between the 9th and 11th centuries. It has a beautiful courtyard with arches, called a cloister. This cloister was built in 1460 by Carlo de' Medici, who was part of a very powerful family in Florence.
- Pieve di Santa Maria: Built even before the 11th century, this church is also very old. It has a painting called Madonna with St. Thomas from the workshop of Lorenzo di Credi. There's also a painting of St. Anthony the Abbot from the school of Ridolfo del Ghirlandaio.
- Pieve di San Severo: This ancient church has frescoes from the 14th and 15th centuries. These are old wall paintings that tell stories.
- Church of Santa Lucia a Settimello: This church existed before the 10th century. It was rebuilt in the early 1700s in a fancy style called Baroque. Inside, you can find a clay sculpture by Benedetto Buglioni from 1507. There's also a wooden crucifix made by Baccio da Montelupo in the early 1500s.
