Calgary Castle, also known as Calgary House, is a beautiful old mansion in Scotland. It was built in the 1800s and looks like a castle. You can find it in a place called Calgary on the Isle of Mull. This island is on the west coast of Scotland.
The mansion faces a lovely area called Calgary Bay. It is about 13 kilometers (8 miles) from Tobermory, a town on the island. Calgary Castle is considered a special historic building. It is listed as a Category B building.

Who Built Calgary Castle?
Captain Alan MacAskill (1765–1828) built Calgary Castle. He bought the land in 1817. The house was finished by 1823.
Later Owners and the Garden
Around 1870, John Munro Mackenzie bought the house. He made it bigger by adding more rooms to the east side.
Later, Colonel Eric and Elizabeth Mackenzie owned Calgary Castle. They lived there from 1948 into the 1970s. They loved plants and created a wonderful garden. They planted over 150 different types of rhododendrons and azaleas. They also added many other interesting plants. This woodland garden is still there today.
