Early Life and College Football

Calvin Lewis Nicholas was born on June 11, 1964. His hometown is Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He went to McKinley Senior High School in Baton Rouge.

After high school, he played college football for the Grambling State Tigers. This team is part of Grambling State University. He played from 1982 to 1986. In 1985, he took a year off from playing due to an injury. This is called being "redshirted" in college sports. It means a player can practice with the team but not play in games, saving a year of eligibility.

Playing in the NFL
