Cam Gigandet (born August 16, 1982) is an American actor. He is known for his roles in popular movies like Twilight, Never Back Down, and Easy A. He also appeared in the TV show The O.C. and the legal drama series Reckless. From 2016 to 2018, Cam starred in the TV drama series Ice.

Early Life and Education
Cam Gigandet was born in Tacoma, Washington. His parents are Kim and Jay Gigandet. After finishing high school at Auburn Senior High School in 2001, he moved to California. There, he went to Santa Monica College.
Acting Career Highlights
Cam Gigandet started his acting career in 2003. His first role was a guest appearance in the TV crime series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He then had recurring roles in other TV shows like The Young and the Restless and Jack and Bobby.
Becoming Kevin Volchok in The O.C.
From 2005 to 2006, Cam Gigandet played Kevin Volchok in the popular teen drama The O.C.. He appeared in 15 episodes of the show. Kevin was a rebellious surfer who became involved with the character Marissa Cooper.
Action and Vampire Roles
In 2007, Cam Gigandet was cast in the action drama film Never Back Down. He played Ryan McCarthy, a tough fighting champion. Cam and his co-star Sean Faris won an award for "Best Fight" at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards for their work in this movie.
Later in 2007, he joined the cast of the movie Twilight. This film was based on the best-selling vampire book series by Stephenie Meyer. Cam played James, a "tracker" vampire. He won another "Best Fight" award at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards with Robert Pattinson for their fight scene in Twilight.
