Cameron Joslin Gigandet (born August 16, 1982) is an American actor. He is well-known for his roles in popular TV shows and movies. Some of his famous appearances include the TV series The O.C. and films like Twilight, Never Back Down, and Easy A. He also starred in the TV dramas Reckless and Ice.

Early Life and Education
Cameron Gigandet was born in Tacoma, Washington. His parents are Kim and Jay Gigandet. His father was a co-owner of a pizza restaurant. Cameron finished high school at Auburn Senior High School in Auburn, Washington, in 2001. After graduating, he moved to California. There, he attended Santa Monica College.
Acting Career Highlights
Cameron Gigandet began his acting journey in 2003. His first role was a guest appearance on the crime TV show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He continued acting in television with recurring roles. These included shows like The Young and the Restless and Jack and Bobby in 2004 and 2005.
Becoming Kevin Volchok
From 2005 to 2006, Gigandet played Kevin Volchok on the TV series The O.C.. He appeared in 15 episodes of this popular teen drama. Kevin was a rebellious character and a competitive surfer. He had a relationship with the character Marissa Cooper.
Action and Vampire Roles
In 2007, Gigandet was cast in the action drama film Never Back Down. He played Ryan McCarthy, a tough fighting champion. He and his co-star Sean Faris won an award for "Best Fight" at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards.
Later in 2007, Gigandet joined the cast of the movie Twilight. This film was based on the best-selling vampire book series by Stephenie Meyer. He played James, a "tracker" vampire. In 2010, Gigandet played Micah in the movie Easy A. That same year, he was in the film Burlesque, which starred Cher and Christina Aguilera. In 2011, he had a role in the vampire thriller Priest.
From 2016 to 2018, Gigandet starred in the TV drama series Ice. He continued to appear in various films, including The Magnificent Seven in 2016 and Dangerous Lies in 2020. More recently, he was in Violent Night in 2022 and Outlaw Posse in 2024.
Personal Life
Cameron Gigandet married Dominique Geisendorff in 2008. They had two daughters, Everleigh and Armie, and a son named Rekker. They divorced in 2024. On October 16, 2024, Gigandet welcomed his fourth child, a boy named Dare Wylder James Gigandet, with actress Hannah James.
