Cambria is a cool neighborhood located in the town of Christiansburg. It's part of Montgomery County in the state of Virginia. Even though it's now a neighborhood, Cambria used to be its own separate town!
Cambria stretches along a road called Cambria Road. You can find it by heading north from the Train Depot on Depot Street. This area is also part of a bigger region. It's included in the Blacksburg-Christiansburg Metropolitan Statistical Area. This means it's grouped with Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and Radford for official statistics.
History of Cambria
Cambria has an interesting past. It was once a town all by itself, separate from Christiansburg. Over time, it became part of the larger Christiansburg community.
The Old Post Office
A long time ago, in 1890, Cambria even had its own post office. This was a busy place where people sent and received letters and packages. The post office served the community for many years. However, it eventually closed down in 1965.
