Cambridge-Narrows was once a small village in Queens County, New Brunswick, Canada. Before 2023, it was its own village. Now, it is part of a larger village called Arcadia.
This area is special because it sits right on Washedemoak Lake. This lake is actually a wider part of the Canaan River. It's just a few kilometers upstream from the big Saint John River. You can get around Cambridge-Narrows using three main roads: Route 695, Route 715, and Route 710.
History of Cambridge-Narrows
Cambridge-Narrows started as two separate communities. One was called Cambridge, and the other was called The Narrows. They were on different sides of the river. In 1966, these two communities joined together to form one village.
On January 1, 2023, Cambridge-Narrows joined with the village of Gagetown. It also joined with parts of five other local areas. Together, they all formed a new, bigger village called Arcadia. Even though it's part of a new village, the name Cambridge-Narrows is still used for the community.
