Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark is a super fun water park nestled in the beautiful Pocono Mountains in Tannersville, Pennsylvania. It's part of Big Pocono State Park. This amazing park first opened its gates in 1998.
Camelbeach is the summer adventure spot for Camelback Mountain Resort. In the winter, Camelback is a popular place for skiing and snowboarding. But when summer arrives, it transforms into a thrilling waterpark!

Awesome Attractions at Camelbeach
Camelbeach has more than 35 exciting waterslides and many other cool things to do. Get ready for a splash-tastic time!
Water Rides and Slides
- The Blue Nile Adventure River is Camelbeach's relaxing lazy river. You can float along in single or double tubes. This ride has been here since the park opened in 1998.
- The Olympic Pool is a big swimming pool. It's perfect for a refreshing swim and has been open since 1998.
- Twister: This green tube slide has both open and closed parts. One enclosed section even ends with a fun water curtain! It opened in 1998.
- Midnight Run : This black tube slide is completely dark inside. Small holes in the roof let in tiny bits of light. It's been thrilling riders since 1998.
- Riptide : This yellow (it used to be white!) tube slide is fully open. It has many twists and turns, including two cool spirals. This slide also opened in 1998.
- Sidewinder: A red tube slide that's fully open. Just like its name, it snakes back and forth down the mountain. It also has a spiral part. It opened in 1998.
- The Titan is a huge, eight-story tall family raft slide. Up to four people can ride together on a raft. The Titan has nine curves that keep your raft safely on track. It opened in 2000.
- The Kahuna Lagoon is a wave pool where waves can get as high as six feet! It's like being at the beach. This popular spot opened in 2001.
- Kahuna Cove is a fun splash pad next to the Kahuna Lagoon Wave Pool. It has sprinklers, water spouts, and lots more. It opened in 2001.
- The Vortex and Spin Cycle are two exciting bowl water slides. Spin Cycle is a tube slide that drops you into a chute. Vortex is a body slide that ends with a splash into a 6.5-foot-deep pool. Both slides opened in 2002.
- Triple Venom is a set of three super-fast water slides. Each one is over six stories tall! They opened in 2003.
- Serpent is a colorful body slide that's fully open. You might even feel like you're flying on its steep drops!
- Viper is a blue body slide that's mostly enclosed, except for its final open drop.
- Cobra is a red body slide that's completely dark inside.
- Checkered Flag Challenge is an eight-lane mat slide. You can race your friends down to the finish line! It even has a timing system to announce the winner. It opened in 2004.
- Flowrider is a surfing simulator. You can ride waves while lying down or standing on a surfboard. It's a great way to try surfing! It opened in 2006.
- Pharaoh's Phortress is a huge water play structure for families. It has 8 waterslides, a four-story-high tipping bucket, fountains, and spray guns. It opened in 2008.
- Dune Runner is a family raft slide with three drops. You might even feel a bit of air time on the last drop! It opened in 2011.
- Sandstorm is another family raft slide. Riders slide into two funnels, making the rafts swing from side to side. It opened in 2011, along with Dune Runner.
- Mummy's Oasis is a smaller version of the "Pharaoh's Phortress." It has water cannons, geysers, and a two-story-high tipping bucket. It opened in 2016.
- High Noon Typhoon is a thrilling ProSlide Tornado ride. It features a six-story funnel where four-person rafts swing from side to side. This exciting ride opened in 2018.
Other Fun Attractions
- During the summer, the Sullivan Sky Ride (which is a ski lift in winter) is open. It lets you ride up the mountain and see amazing wildlife.
Past Attractions
Some rides and attractions that used to be at Camelbeach include:
- The Bumper Boats were gasoline-powered boats where you could bump into friends. This area is now used for beach volleyball. (Closed in 2010)
- Camel Cove was a family water play area with several structures and a big tipping bucket. This area is now home to "Mummy's Oasis." (Closed in 2015)
- Mini Golf was an 18-hole miniature golf course. The "Pharaoh's Phortress" is now in this spot. (Closed in 2005)
- The Mat Slides were two slides where riders used foam mats. (Closed in 2018)
Awards and Recognition
Camelbeach has won several awards from national groups. Aquatics International magazine named it "Best Commercial Waterpark" for parks with 100,000 to 300,000 visitors each year. The International Amusement Parks Convention also called Camelbeach one of the "Best Waterparks to Visit in 2005." Camelbeach was even featured on The Travel Channel's show Waterparks 2005.
