His Military Career

Sir Campbell Ross became a General in the British Army. He was part of the Bengal Staff Corps, which was a group of officers in the British Indian Army. These officers helped manage and lead the army in India.

He took part in the Jowaki Expedition. This was a military campaign in 1877-1878. It involved British forces dealing with local tribes in a mountainous area.

Special Awards and Honors

Sir Campbell Ross received a very important award called the Order of the Bath. This is a special honor given by the British King or Queen for excellent service.
