History of Cannelburg
Cannelburg was officially planned and marked out in 1872. The town got its name from a special type of coal called cannel coal. This coal was mined in the area a long time ago.
Geography of Cannelburg
Cannelburg is mainly located along Main Street. This street runs north and south, crossing U.S. Route 50 and U.S. Route 150. To the east of Cannelburg, you'll find the town of Loogootee. To the west, there is the town of Montgomery.
