Canoe Lake is located in the Township of Madawaska Valley. This area is near a community called Combermere. Both are found within Renfrew County in the province of Ontario, Canada.
Size and Water Flow
Canoe Lake is not very big, but it is an important part of its local environment. It measures about 600 metres (1,969 ft) long. The lake is also about 300 metres (984 ft) wide. The water from Canoe Lake flows out through an unnamed creek. This creek then leads to Negeek Lake. Negeek Lake is part of the larger Madawaska River system.
Not the Only Canoe Lake!
It can sometimes be confusing because there is another lake also named Canoe Lake in Renfrew County. This second lake is also connected to the Madawaska River system. It is called Canoe Lake (Greater Madawaska). It is located on a different stream called Highland Creek.
