Capáez is a small, rural area, also known as a barrio, located in the municipality of Adjuntas, Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 1,054 people lived there. It is known for its beautiful mountain views and natural beauty.
History of Capáez
Puerto Rico became a territory of the United States after the Spanish–American War in 1898. This happened under the rules of the Treaty of Paris of 1898.
Soon after, in 1899, the U.S. government took a census, which is a count of all the people. The census found that 1,266 people lived in Capáez barrio at that time.

Mountain Peaks
- Capáez has some important mountain peaks that are part of the Cordillera Central. This is a major mountain range in Puerto Rico.
