Cap Éternité is a very tall mountain in Quebec, Canada. It is found in the area of Rivière-Éternité. This impressive mountain overlooks Éternité Bay to its southwest. Another nearby peak is Cap Trinité, which is to the west. Cap Éternité stands 347 meters (about 1,138 feet) high. It is an important part of the beautiful Saguenay Fjord National Park.

What's in a Name?

Cap Éternité got its official name on December 5, 1968. The name "Éternité" comes from the Éternité River. This river flows into Éternité Bay. The nearby town of Rivière-Éternité also got its name from this river.

Cap Éternité has huge rock walls and very steep cliffs. These features make it a major tourist spot. Many people visit this area in the Saguenay Fjord National Park. They come to see its amazing views and natural beauty.
