Caridad is a small town in Honduras. It is also a type of local government area called a municipality. Caridad is part of the Valle department in Honduras.
This town is located very close to the border with El Salvador.
Who Lives in Caridad?
In 2013, a count of people living in Caridad was done. This is called a census. The census showed that 3,927 people lived in the Caridad municipality.
Most of the people living there, about 99.95%, were Mestizo. This means they have a mix of European and Indigenous backgrounds. A very small number of people were Indigenous. Also, a tiny group were Black or Afro-Honduran.
