He spent three seasons with the Buffalo Bills. The Bills picked him in the fifth round of the 1986 NFL draft. College Football Career
Carl played college football for the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils. He played from 1982 to 1985. He was teammates with famous player Jerry Rice. Their coach was Archie Cooley. In 2006, Carl was honored. He was put into the Mississippi Valley State University Athletic Hall of Fame.
Professional Football Career
The Buffalo Bills chose Carl Byrum in the 1986 NFL draft. He was the 111th player picked overall. He played for the Bills from 1986 to 1988. During this time, he played in 41 games. He started in twelve of those games.
Playing for the Bills
