About Carl Gerges
Carl Gerges was born in Beirut, Lebanon, on December 5, 1987. He loved music from a young age. He learned to play the drums and the piano early on.
Starting His Music Journey
In 2008, Carl helped start a band called Mashrou' Leila. He was studying architecture at the American University of Beirut at the time. He played the drums and synthesizers for the band. He also helped write their songs. Carl also helps create the band's music videos and stage designs.
Collaborations and Performances
Carl Gerges has worked with many famous artists. These include Roisin Murphy, Joe Goddard, Brian Eno, and Yo Yo Ma. In 2019, he performed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This was part of an exhibition by British artist Oliver Beer.
Carl's Architecture Work
