Carl Wright (born February 2, 1932 – died May 19, 2007) was an American tap dancer, actor, and comedian. He was well-known for his funny roles in popular movies like Soul Food, Barbershop, and Big Momma's House.

Carl Wright was born in Orlando, Florida. When he was young, he traveled around as a talented tap dancer. For a while, he even performed in a dance group called The Three-Leggers with a partner who had only one leg! Later in his life, Carl Wright also worked with a famous radio personality named Pervis Spann in Chicago. They had a funny show on TV called "Blues and More," where Carl played a playful reverend. Carl Wright passed away in his home in Chicago.
