Carlos Acuña (born November 4, 1915 – died February 19, 1999) was a famous Argentine Tango singer and composer. He was known for his amazing singing of the song La Calesita, which means "The Merry-Go-Round." As a composer, he was famous for his song Un boliche, meaning "A Tavern."

Early Career and Friends
Carlos Acuña performed with famous musicians like Ernesto de la Cruz. He also sang with Carlos di Sarli and Mariano Mores. A close friend of his, the poet Celedonio Flores, often introduced him on stage. Flores was a well-known tango lyricist.

In 1955, Carlos Acuña joined Mariano Mores' orchestra. Together, they recorded 15 albums. These albums were released by Odeon Records. His music became very popular.

Carlos Acuña traveled to many countries to perform. He found great success in places like Uruguay, Mexico, Italy, and Spain. During his time in Spain, he became friends with Juan Perón, who was living there at the time. Acuña lived in Spain for 17 years. He had a very successful career there.
