Early Career in Brazil
Carlos Alberto Santos started his professional football journey in Brazil. He played for important clubs like Goiás and Botafogo. He played nearly 200 games in Brazil's top football league, the Campeonato Brasileiro. This showed he was a very skilled and consistent player.
Success in Japan
In 1992, Santos moved to Japan to play for Kashima Antlers. This was a big step in his career. In 1993, he played a key role in helping his team win the first stage of the J1 League championship.
