Carlos Cavazo (born July 8, 1957) is a Mexican-American musician. He is best known as the guitarist for the heavy metal band Quiet Riot. He played with them during their most famous period. Carlos has also been a part of other bands like Snow, 3 Legged Dogg, Hollywood Allstarz, and Ratt.

Who is Carlos Cavazo?
Carlos Cavazo was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 8, 1957. His father was Mexican and his mother was American. In 1973, Carlos started a band called Speed of Light with his older brother Tony. They were in Anaheim, California. Carlos left high school early to focus on his music career.
Early Bands and Snow
By 1978, Speed of Light changed into a band called Snow. They added a singer named Doug Ellison and a drummer named Stephen Quadros. Snow became popular in the Los Angeles club scene. In 1980, they released a short album with five songs. This album was re-released in 2017 as part of their At Last collection.
Joining Quiet Riot
In 1982, Carlos Cavazo joined the band Quiet Riot. He took the place of their previous guitarist, Randy Rhoads. Carlos stayed with Quiet Riot for many years, even into the 2000s. He was a key part of the band when they became very famous. However, when the singer Kevin DuBrow started Quiet Riot again in 2006, Carlos was not part of the new lineup.
Other Music Projects
Carlos also helped start a band called 3 Legged Dogg. This was a "supergroup," meaning it had members from other well-known bands. The band included drummer Vinny Appice (from Black Sabbath and Dio), bassist Jimmy Bain (from Rainbow (rock band) and Dio), singer Chas West, and guitarist Brian Young. They released one album called Frozen Summer in 2006.
Carlos was also a member of the band Ratt until 2018. He joined them in 2008. Today, Carlos is a member of two bands: King Kobra (which he joined in 2021) and Hurricane (which he joined in 2023).
