Carlos Antwan Moncrief is an American former professional baseball player. He was born on November 3, 1988. Carlos played as an outfielder in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Francisco Giants.

Early Life
Carlos Moncrief was born in Jackson, Mississippi. His dad, Homer, also played baseball. Homer was chosen by the Detroit Tigers in 1980. He played as a pitcher and reached Double-A.
Baseball Career
Cleveland Indians
Carlos Moncrief went to Hillcrest Christian School in Jackson, MS. He also attended Chipola Junior College. The Cleveland Indians picked him in the 14th round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft. They chose him to be a pitcher.
However, Carlos had some trouble pitching in 2008 and 2009. So, he changed his position. He became an outfielder instead.
San Francisco Giants
On November 14, 2015, Moncrief signed a contract with the San Francisco Giants. He played for their minor league team, the Richmond Flying Squirrels. This team is part of the Double–A Eastern League. In 2016, he played in 72 games. He hit five home runs and had 22 RBI (runs batted in).
Carlos became a free agent after the 2016 season. But he re–signed with the Giants on November 13, 2016. On July 26, 2017, the Giants added him to their main team. This was his first time playing in the major leagues.
He made his MLB debut on July 29, 2017. In his first time at bat, he got a walk. On July 31, he got his first hit in a major league game. This was against the Oakland Athletics. During his first season, he played in 28 games. He had five RBI.
Generales de Durango
On April 17, 2018, Moncrief signed with a team in Mexico. He joined the Generales de Durango in the Mexican Baseball League. He played there until May 27, 2019.

Carlos Moncrief is married to Brandy. They have four sons together.
