Carlos López del Rey (born in 1980), known professionally as Carlos Vermut, is a Spanish filmmaker. He is famous for directing and writing movies. Before making films, he worked as an illustrator, drawing pictures for books and comics. He also designed storyboards, which are like comic strips that plan out movie scenes.
His first big movie was Diamond Flash. Later, his film Magical Girl (2014) became very popular and received great reviews. He has also directed and written other films like Quién te cantará (2018) and Manticore (2022). He also wrote the script for The Grandmother (2021).
