Carlos López del Rey (born 1980), known as Carlos Vermut, is a Spanish filmmaker. He was born in Madrid, Spain. Before making movies, he worked as an illustrator and comic book artist. He also designed storyboards for films.

Carlos Vermut started his film career with the animated TV series Jelly Jamm. His first full-length movie was Diamond Flash. His second film, Magical Girl (2014), was very well-received by critics. He has also directed and written other films like Quién te cantará (2018) and Manticore (2022). He also wrote the script for The Grandmother (2021).
