She began publishing her own books way back in 1979. Now, Gallopade International is a big publisher of children's books.

In 2007, Carole Marsh won the Georgia Author of the Year award. This award recognized her amazing work in children's literature. It also celebrated her contributions to the state of Georgia.

  • She created and wrote the "Real Kids/Real Places" Mysteries series. This series was called "a true gem" by the Midwest Book Review. It also won a Teacher's Choice Award in 2002.
  • Carole Marsh is also the creator of many other mystery series. These include "Around the World in 80 Mysteries" and "Pretty Darn Scary Mysteries." She also wrote "Criss/Cross/Applesauce Mysteries," Three Amigos Mysteries, "Masters of Disasters Mysteries," "Fantasy Field Trip Mysteries," "The Postcard Mysteries," and "Awesome Mysteries."
  • Besides mysteries, she created The Daily Dozen Classroom Almanac. She also developed many educational series. These include "Elections! Elections! Elections!" and "American Milestones." She also created the "Black Jazz, Pizzazz & Razzmatazz African American History Series."
