Jeffrey Carter Albrecht (born June 23, 1973 – died September 3, 2007) was a talented American musician. He was most famous for playing the keyboard and guitar in the band Edie Brickell & New Bohemians.
About Jeffrey Carter Albrecht
Jeffrey Carter Albrecht grew up in Derby, Kansas. He loved music from a young age. In 1995, he graduated from Southern Methodist University. He studied piano performance there, which means he learned to play the piano very well. After college, he played piano with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He also taught piano lessons in the mid-1990s.
His Music Career
Jeffrey was a member of the Dallas band Sorta. In this band, he played keyboards and guitar, and also sang. He also led his own popular band in Dallas called Sparrows. This band included other talented musicians like Ward Williams, Danny Balis, Bryan Wakeland, Mike Daane, Brant Cole, and Dave Monsey.
Sparrows released two albums that people really liked: Rock and Roll Days in 2002 and Snowflakes in 2004. The band stopped playing together in 2005. Before Sparrows, Jeffrey played guitar in another local band called The Limes. His friend Ward Williams played bass in that band too.
Jeffrey also played as a guest musician on several other albums. He was working on his first solo album called Jesus is Alive...and Living in London. He was almost finished with it when he passed away. With help from Edie Brickell, his album was completed and released in February 2009.

Jeffrey Carter Albrecht passed away on September 3, 2007.
