Casalarreina is a charming town in La Rioja, Spain. It's about 47 kilometers (29 miles) from Logroño, the capital city. This historic town is located in the northwest part of La Rioja.
The first records mentioning Casalarreina date back to around 1170. A noblewoman named Aldonza Ruiz de Castro was connected to these early documents. The town is also near the Basque-Aragonese freeway, making it easy to reach. In 2011, about 1,355 people lived here.
