Caseres is a small town, also called a municipality, located in Catalonia, Spain. It is part of a region known as the comarca of la Terra Alta.
This town is surrounded by beautiful scenery. You might notice many wind turbines being built in the nearby Serra dels Pesells hills.
History of Caseres
The name of Caseres first appeared in official papers way back in 1153. These documents were from the Miravet castle. At that time, the castle belonged to a famous group of knights called the Knights Templar.
Later, in 1359, the castle and its lands, including Caseres, were taken over by another group of knights. These were the Knights Hospitaller.
Life in Caseres Today
Today, Caseres gets some of its money from rural tourism. This means people visit the town to enjoy its countryside, quiet life, and outdoor activities. It's a great place for visitors looking for a peaceful getaway.
