Casey Yu-jin Phair (Korean: 케이시 유진 페어; born 29 June 2007) is a talented South Korean football player. She plays as a striker for Damallsvenskan club Djurgårdens IF in Sweden. She is currently on loan from Angel City FC.
Casey is famous for being the youngest player ever to play in a FIFA Women's World Cup. She made her debut in the 2023 tournament when she was just 16 years and 26 days old. Casey is also special because she was the first multiracial player to be called up to the South Korea women's national team. She grew up in New Jersey, United States, and has a Korean American background.

Casey Phair's Early Life
Casey Phair was born in South Korea. Her family moved to the United States when she was only one month old. She lived in Exeter, New Hampshire, before moving to Warren Township, New Jersey.
In New Jersey, Casey started playing soccer at the Pingry School. She also trained at the Players Development Academy (PDA). This is where she developed her skills as a young player.
Casey Phair's Club Career
Playing for Angel City FC
After her great performance at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, Casey tried out for a few professional clubs. On January 18, 2024, Angel City FC announced they had signed Casey to a three-year contract. She became the youngest player ever to sign with the club.
Casey played her first game for Angel City on July 26, 2024. She came into the game as a substitute during a Summer Cup match. Casey scored her first goal for Angel City on February 22, 2025. It was a header in a preseason game that helped her team get a 1–1 draw. She made her official professional debut on April 18, 2025, as a substitute against NJ/NY Gotham FC.
Loan to Djurgårdens IF
On July 21, 2025, Angel City extended Casey's contract for three more years. They then loaned her to the Swedish club Djurgårdens IF. This loan will last until the end of the NWSL season.
Casey Phair's International Career
Casey Phair first played for the South Korea under-17 team. She helped them qualify for the 2024 AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup. She scored two goals against Tajikistan and three goals against Hong Kong.
Youngest World Cup Player
In 2023, Casey was called up to the senior team for the FIFA Women's World Cup. She made history by becoming the youngest player ever to appear in a senior World Cup. This includes both men's and women's tournaments. She was only 16 years and 26 days old when she played her first game. This happened on July 25, 2023, against Colombia.
Casey played in all three of South Korea's group stage matches at the 2023 World Cup. She even started her first game against Germany. That match ended in a 1–1 draw.
First Senior Goals
On October 26, 2023, Casey scored her first senior goal for South Korea. She also scored her first hat-trick (three goals in one game) in a 10–1 win against Thailand. She was 16 years and 119 days old at the time. This made her the second youngest goal scorer in the history of the South Korean women's senior national team. She also became the youngest player to score a hat-trick for any South Korean national team.
On October 10, 2024, Casey was named to the South Korea under-17 team roster for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.
