Cassandra Lynn Scerbo is an American actress, singer, and dancer. She is often known as Cassie Scerbo. She was part of a pop band called Slumber Party Girls. This group was featured on the CBS children's show Dance Revolution.
Cassie has starred in many movies and TV shows. She played Brooke in the movie Bring It On: In It to Win It. She was also Lauren Tanner in the TV series Make It or Break It. Later, she became well-known for her role as Nova Clarke in the Sharknado movies. She acted alongside Ian Ziering and Tara Reid in these films.

Life and career
Early life and music
Cassie Scerbo was born in Long Island, New York. Her family has full Italian roots. She grew up in Parkland, Florida. When she was young, she played soccer for the Parkland Soccer Club. She went to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.
In 2006, Cassie joined a music group called Slumber Party Girls. She was one of five girls chosen from over 1,000 people who tried out. In September 2006, the group hosted a children's TV show called Dance Revolution. This show taught kids about healthy eating and exercise. The group's songs were a big part of the show.
The Slumber Party Girls released their first album, also called Dance Revolution. However, the album did not become very popular. The TV show was not made for a second season. In 2007, the group broke up. Cassie then signed a solo music deal with Geffen Records. She released three songs on iTunes in 2008: "Betcha Don't Know," "Sugar and Spice," and "Top Of The World."
Acting career beginnings
In 2007, Cassie Scerbo was chosen for a movie called Bring It On: In It to Win It. This was the fourth film in the Bring It On series. She played Brooke, who was the captain of a cheerleading team. The movie was released straight to DVD.
That same year, Cassie appeared in a TV pilot for Disney Channel. It was called Arwin!. A pilot is a test episode for a new show. However, Disney Channel did not decide to make it into a full series.
TV shows and movies
In September 2008, Cassie starred in another movie that went straight to DVD. It was a comedy film called Soccer Mom. She acted with Missi Pyle and Emily Osment.
In June 2009, Cassie got a main role in the ABC Family TV series Make It or Break It. The show was about teen gymnasts. Cassie played Lauren Tanner, a talented gymnast who dreamed of going to the Olympic Games. The show was very popular, and ABC Family ordered more episodes. The series ended in May 2012.
In April 2010, Cassie also appeared in an episode of CSI: Miami. She was in the episode called "Spring Breakdown." Her Make It or Break It co-star Chelsea Hobbs was also in this episode.
Later roles
In 2011, Cassie Scerbo starred in an ABC Family original movie called Teen Spirit. In this movie, she played a popular high school girl. Her character gets shocked and cannot go to Heaven. She has to help the least popular girl at school become prom queen. The movie was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. It first aired on August 7, 2011.
In 2013, Cassie starred in the Syfy movie Sharknado. She played a bartender named Nova Clarke. This movie became very famous for its wild story about sharks in a tornado. Cassie returned as Nova Clarke in several sequels: Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! (2015), Sharknado 5: Global Swarming (2017), and The Last Sharknado: It's About Time (2018). In the later movies, her character became a tough fighter against sharknados.
