Cassius Jerome Stanley (born August 18, 1999) is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for the Valley Suns in the NBA G League. Before becoming a professional, he played college basketball for the famous Duke Blue Devils team.

High School Basketball
Cassius Stanley started his high school basketball journey at Harvard-Westlake School in California. As a sophomore, he was a strong player. He averaged nearly 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. In 2017, he moved to Sierra Canyon School for his final two years. There, he continued to shine. He averaged 17.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. He helped lead Sierra Canyon to an impressive 32–3 record. After high school, Cassius decided to play college basketball at Duke University.
College Basketball
Cassius made a great start in his first college game. He scored 13 points to help Duke win against Kansas with a score of 68–66. He had a leg injury in November but recovered quickly. He only missed one game! This was thanks to his hard work in rehabilitation. On January 4, Cassius scored 20 points and grabbed five rebounds against Miami. Duke won that game 95–62. Later, on February 8, he had an amazing game against rival North Carolina. He scored 22 points and had six rebounds in a close 98–96 overtime victory. At the end of the season, Cassius was chosen for the ACC All-Freshman Team. This means he was one of the best first-year players in the Atlantic Coast Conference. He averaged 12.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. He shot 47 percent from the field and 36 percent from three-point range. After this successful season, he decided to enter the 2020 NBA draft.
Professional Basketball
Indiana Pacers and Fort Wayne Mad Ants (2020–2021)
On November 18, 2020, Cassius Stanley was picked in the second round of the 2020 NBA draft. The Indiana Pacers chose him as the 54th overall pick. The Pacers signed him to a special contract. This meant he could play for both the Pacers and their minor league team, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, in the NBA G League. He even took part in the 2021 Slam Dunk Contest! However, he was eliminated in the first round.
Detroit Pistons and Motor City Cruise (2021–2022)
On September 28, 2021, Stanley signed with the Detroit Pistons. He later joined the Motor City Cruise, which is the Pistons' G League team. With the Cruise, he averaged 9.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. He signed a few short-term contracts with the Pistons during this time.
Rio Grande Valley Vipers (2022–2023)
In November 2022, Cassius Stanley joined the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. This is another team in the NBA G League.
Hapoel Afula (2023–2024)
On September 21, 2023, Stanley moved to play basketball in Israel. He signed with Hapoel Afula in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
Valley Suns (2024–present)
On October 27, 2024, Stanley returned to the NBA G League. He joined the Valley Suns, where he plays today.
