Cassà de la Selva is a town in Catalonia, a region in Spain. It is a "municipality," which means it has its own local government. The town is part of the Gironès "comarca," which is like a county.
Cassà de la Selva is located about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) south of the city of Girona. It is also about 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) west of the Mediterranean Sea. The town is connected to Girona and the Baix Empordà area by the C-65 road. In the 20th century, Cassà de la Selva was famous for making products from cork.
