Castalia (pronounced "Cas-tale-yuh") is a small town. It is located in Nash County, North Carolina, United States. Castalia is part of the Rocky Mount, North Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area. In 2020, about 264 people lived there.

History of Castalia
Castalia began to grow around 1850. It officially became a town in 1873. The name "Castalia" was suggested by a local teacher. His name was R.D. Richardson. He named it after the Castalian Spring in Greece.
