Castle Dome, also known as Castle Dome Peak, is a tall, flat-topped hill called a butte. It stands out in the Castle Dome Mountains in Arizona. This area is part of the northwestern Sonoran Desert, northeast of Yuma.
Castle Dome is about 22 miles (35 km) east of where the historic Colorado River town of Castle Dome Landing used to be. That old town is now underwater because of the Imperial Dam. The butte is located above and east of US Route 95. It is also near the Castle Dome mining district.
