Catalina Edwards (born October 26, 1976, in Viña del Mar) is a well-known journalist from Chile. She works as a news anchor for the TV show Ahora Noticias. She is also a panelist on Mucho Gusto. Both of these popular shows are on the Mega channel.
In July 2016, some comments she made on TV caused a discussion. These comments were about the pension system in Chile. A pension system is how people save money during their working lives to get payments when they retire.
About Catalina Edwards
Catalina Edwards was born to Juan Miguel Edwards Ross and María Verónica Delpino Allú. She is the oldest of four children. She is also the only girl in her family.
Her Education Journey
Catalina went to Villa Maria Academy for her schooling. This was a Catholic school for girls located in Santiago, Chile. After high school, she decided to study journalism. She attended the University of the Andes to learn about reporting and news.
Her Career in Media
Before joining Mega, Catalina worked for seven years at another TV channel called Canal 13. She gained a lot of experience there. In 2007, she also hosted a radio show. The show was called Vitamina on Radio Horizonte. She hosted it with Sergia Paz and Mauricio Contreras.
Her Family Life
Catalina Edwards is married to Juan Pablo Tisné. Together, they have one son.
