Celia Isobel Pughe-Morgan (born 8 December 1975), also known by her maiden name Walden, is a British writer. She works as a journalist, writes novels, and shares her opinions as a critic.

Early life and education
Celia Walden was born in Paris, France. Her father, George Walden, was a politician who became a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Conservative Party. He also served as a government minister, helping to oversee education during Margaret Thatcher's time as Prime Minister.
Celia's mother, Sarah, is an expert in art history. She also restores old paintings. Celia grew up with two brothers. She went to Westminster School and later studied French and Italian at Newnham College, Cambridge, a famous university in England.
Career
Celia Walden has had a varied career. She once worked as a waitress, but she is best known for her writing. She has been a feature writer, which means she writes longer articles about different topics. She also used to be a gossip columnist, writing about famous people.
Walden was the last editor of a special section in The Daily Telegraph newspaper called "Spy," which no longer exists. Before that, she wrote for other newspapers like the Evening Standard and the Daily Mail.
Her first novel, a book called Harm's Way, was published in August 2008.

In 2011, Celia Walden wrote a column in The Daily Telegraph about cyclists. Her article caused some discussion, especially because it was published around the same time a cyclist was involved in a serious accident in London. Some people felt her column was unfair to cyclists.

In 2011, Celia Walden also wrote a memoir called Babysitting George. A memoir is a book about a person's own memories and experiences. This book was about her time spent with the famous footballer George Best.
However, George Best's widow, Alex Best, said that many parts of the book were not true. She even considered taking legal action against the publisher, Bloomsbury Publishing. Another person who knew George Best also said that the book was not accurate and that George would have been very upset by it.
Personal life
Celia Walden started a relationship with another journalist, Piers Morgan, in January 2006. They got married in a private ceremony in a village called Swinbrook in Oxfordshire, England, on 24 June 2010.
In June 2011, Piers Morgan announced that they were going to have a baby. On 25 November 2011, Celia gave birth to their first child together. This was her first child and her husband's fourth.
